When Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone, he couldn't guess that it will be very popular in the future. According to Wikipedia, 'telos' means far, and 'phone' means sound in Ancient Greek so it is very meaningful combination as we thinks its functions.
Alexander found something in his confusion...
Firstly, Mr. Bell started to provide an opportunity for deaf people to hearing some sounds. He couldn't achieve this but he invented very important innovation and his first clause was 'Mr. Watson —Come here —I want to see you'
Some resources claims that ALO is abridgment of Graham's fiancee's name which is Alessandra Lolita Oswaldo and he has called out to ALO, whenever he talks.
It is very small but does it really good?
Today, it is like a mixture of every technological machinery. Phones can take photos, play musics, keep databases, use internet, calculate arithmatics, sound the alarms whenever we want and most importantly it is very small and we can take along all the time.
My grandpa is 78, and my little cousin is 7 both of them have cell phones and there are many of people like them. Yet more some people have 2 or 3 cell phones and it is very normal, because we connect many different people in a day. Especially, these types of phone users have 2 phones in order to separate their personal and business lifes.
Actually, I don't like using phone and I am a terrible cell phone user but my friends are crazy about this problem and I really try to get better :)
